Gainsight Assist template visibility changes

  1. We need the ability to hide templates from Gainsight Assist, while still allowing them to be visible to Email Assist.    We have templates that we need to be strictly tied to CTAs for reporting reasons, but they are also visible through Gainsight Assist which is confusing for our end users and results in emails getting sent that are not tied to CTAs.
  2. Folders are needed to be able to group templates together in the Gainsight Assist and Email Assist views.  We have multiple teams (not just CSMs) in Gainsight and need a better way of keeping these organized.

Hello @darkknight
We already have folder structure in our roadmap. Where as hiding email templates completely from user and allowing only to be used in CTA is not yet in roadmap, e are working on adding permissions to email templates, once thats done this use case should be addressed.

I will keep you posted about updates.

@chethana Permissions have to be able to be applied at a level above an individual user for that to be effective.

You really need to have a function to permit templates to be restricted to functional areas.

Agree @darkknight  we are considering providing folder level permission which can then be used to add additional module level permission. I will keep you posted about the updates.

Hi @chethana ,

Any update on when folder structure will be available in the GS Assist for email templates?

Being able to designate certain templates for only CTA use would be helpful to us as well.

Thanks,

Rhonda

@Bhawya for the latest on this thread

This appears to be implemented in the latest fixpack:

Hi all,

The above fix seems to be in terms of hiding empty folders. Do we have any ETA on the possibility of hiding folders that contain templates not relevant to the specific end user?  It would be super helpful to eliminate any confusion and provide a clear path for the user in question.
