Filter by Manager/Team in Global Timeline

Hi All,

 

I’ve seen different posts on expanding filtering for Global Timeline. Would love to see more filtering options to either : current user; by team (for managers) or to be able to sticky filters.

Big +1 here. Robust options to save specific views by user, similar to the CTA set up, would be awesome. 


Advanced filtering, saved views and better search capabilities will be available in July/ Aug release.


@sroma - there is a new ability to save new CTA views in Cockpit in the latest release. You can now create new views for current users or when a Manager field = Current User. These custom views might address your challenge. 

Sticky filters are coming but users would all have to create their own view which might not be the most ideal solution. To get to CTA Custom Views, go to Workflow > Call To Action > Custom Views (its at the very bottom of the CTA admin page).

Previously, the standard Cockpit views such as All CTAsMy CTAs, and Closed CTAs were shipped for all customers, but Admins were not allowed to modify them. However, Gainsight now allows admins to make changes to these default views. These views are also now listed in the Custom Views section in the Call To Action (CTA) page. 

The DeleteSave, and Active checkbox options are disabled for the My CTAs view in the Custom Views section since it’s the default view in case no other view is available. However, the name and filters of the view can be modified.

Happy to announce that your request has been considered and included as part of the v6.18 release (SFDC / NXT). With this release, Timeline filter functionality includes quick options to filter by Activity Type and Date, as well as Advanced Filter options.

This feature is implemented in both SFDC & NXT versions.

This feedback was marked as implemented, but the ask was for an admin to be able to control filters/views on timeline for all users. Right now, each CSM would have to go create a new filter for timeline tab. Can we pop that back up as a product request? @rakesh_lingala
