MDA generated by DD are read only. The Gainsight architecture must allow the Admins/Developers to edit the existing fields add more fields to the MDA table

Hi @kumaranbcak ,

There is underlying use case for you to watch through on a similar posts which @darkknight raised on this request.

I do see you are looking for all fields edit from MDA but when it comes to Data Designer, you can modify/add/remove fields from the data designer that changes table schema.

@narayanan_s thank you for your response!

Hi All,

@kumaranbcak  What fields do you want to add to the object created by Data Designer? How would you populate data in these objects and where would you use these fields? Would you be able to share some usecases for the same.

Hi @rakesh, As we are unable to edit directly in the MDA, we couldn’t allow it to rule update from S3 integration or from company, relationship MDAs. Generally MDA don’t limit to 50 fields but only Data designer. If in case we need more reference fields/lookup MDA field data, we have no option to add new other than opting out of data designer and moving to rule engine.

True that.

MDA has no limitations on number of field additions but Data designer does.

Additional fields for the Data designed MDA could not be configured.
