I think it would be very beneficial to have permissions on UI views in the customers tab.
For example, a CSM can only see the UI views they have permission to but management can see all CSM views.

Could we consider replacing UI views with dashboards, and then combine that with dashboard permissions? There are some gaps of course, but I made a few posts on how to recreate here.

It would probably work for a company with a few CSMs but in the case I was working, the customer had around 30 CSMs so that would be a lot of work. If we could somehow add permissions to UI views on the customers tab it would be much easier to set up in the filters with a lot less work.

Just so I understand fully: Where do you think additional effort is required, given that reports also support current user filtering? I do acknowledge that we'd have to create additional summary widgets and add to layouts. Anything else I'm missing?
