Automatically sync emails sent through email assist to salesforce activities

It would be great if I could set something explicitly for an email template that would automatically sync any emails sent using that template to Salesforce activities, rather than CSMs having to manually sync them.





We've started using email assists for certain emails that we want to be able to track and follow up on whether or not they were sent. We can do that through report builder, but it would be nice for visibility if we could specify at the template level that we want them all synced.



We would like this feature, as well. We have a broken workflow where email assist emails sent to client and posted to timeline and they are not synced to Salesforce. All other timeline activities link to Salesforce, but not email assist activitities. I reported this to support as a bug/ issue, and they said it's working as intended. We do not want email assist activities to sync to salesforce unless they are sent (not just a playbook created with an optional email to use), and we cannot have all tasks sync to salesforce. It seems strange that only email assist emails will post to timeline but not sync to Salesforce, and it is throwing off our reporting and client view for non-gainsight users. It decreases the value of CTA workflows with email templates, and is making us consider using lightning/ highspot/ other program email templates instead of email assist in Gainsight. Ideally, it would tie into our CTA/ Playbook and our team wouldn't need to leave Gainsight to use a template.
