Allow selecting all possible Relationships in Timeline Associated Records

Related products: None

Currently, in Timeline Associated Records, Relationships can only be selected when they are under the same Company and of the same Relationship type. This is way too limiting (e.g., if you want to add an activity when you reached out to multiple accounts of the same product). We would like to be able to select any Relationship, as you are able to select any Company.

Is there any additional or new information on this? We have a few scenarios where it would be great if a CSM could log on the relationship level to 2 different companies via the associated records.

+1 for logging a Timeline Entry to multiple Relationships between different Company records.

Additionally, it’d be important for us that we can log a Timeline Entry to multiple Relationships of different types under the same Company. So from the Timeline of Relationship Type A our CSMs would be able to add an Associated record, Relationship Type B of that same Company record.

Hi, is there an update for this?

There is a more expanded use case for associating any timeline activity to any Company, Relationship, or CTA regardless of the primary context.

The current documentation includes limits on associating Companies or Relationships if the Primary Context is a CTA, Scorecard Measure / Group, or Success Plan. Is there a plan to expand this capability to open up contexts for Associated Records?

Thank you!

THIS - how can it be 2 years old with no motion? It’s an indexing setting…

I’m being told by support that it’s the normal behavior but it cannot make sense!

We have got this as a real timeline record in Gainsight and we can all see we have associated records from different companies. You can see it at the top as it show XXXX AB and in associated records where it says XXXX AS.

This was done via a migration of timeline activities, so it is technically possible to achieve. And it is the only thing that makes sense to have.
