Flag/Star Important Timeline ActivitiesAcknowledged
Hi all, One of the AMs asked if it’s possible in Gainsight to add a “Star” or “Flag” to Important timeline activities (similar to Gmail features) so that those entries/activities can be referenced later while scrolling through timeline. Thanks,Jasmine
Hi, In cases where you have multiple accounts linked together through an account hierarchy, we often have the case where we would like to record a timeline activity and have it recorded on each account within the hierarchy. That way if someone records something important that relates to all accounts within the hierarchy, it won’t be missed. At the moment our team have to manually go to each account in the hierarchy and repeat the timeline entry - if you have 10-15 accounts in a hierarchy, that’s a pretty long process. If there could just be a tickbox when you are creating an activity that said ‘post to all accounts in hierarchy’ it would be extremely helpful. Any chance this is on your roadmap or could be added to be sorted in the next while? Thanks
When syncing Salesforce activity to Timeline, records that do not have a value in Description/Comments will fail because It is mapping to Notes in the Timeline Activity which is a required field. It fails because Notes has to have a value in order to save. If there was a way to provide a default value for Notes when the incoming record from SFDC has a null value for Description, that would make it easier to sync data without having to find records in the logs that failed and update. Having the option to set default in the job setup would allow for a default Notes value specific to the type of Salesforce activity being synced.
As a Gainsight administrator, when I select “does not equal true” as the filtering criteria for a boolean field in MDA data fetches, I expect this to be evaluate to “does not equal true” rather than “equals false”.If it’s possible for a boolean field to contain null values — which it is — then it should be possible to include/exclude these via filters.Support confirmed that this was expected behaviour and provided a relatively complicated workaround with multiple additional transform steps. My suggestion would be that, if the filter behaviour can’t be changed, Gainsight should enforce a default value on boolean fields so that null values can’t exist.
Attribute Table in C360No Status
Hi, We have quite a bit of data we manually enter in the C360 and was wondering if there are plans to update the functionality of the attribute tables such as:adding title section/headings to separate/group the fields layout flexibility adding fields and not having to line them up next to each other layout options for 40-50 fields ability to pull in data from other objects in the account summary (e.g. leads information instead of number of leads the account has - or at least be able to click on it and bring it to the details for the leads) Thanks!
There are instances when several accounts are consolidated into one new account, or two accounts merge into one. Currently if a Success Plan is created and the account will merge with a new account, there's no way to move the success plan to the new account where the CSM will continue to manage the account and success plan. Users have to manually re-create the plan, which loses the Objective/Task created date data.
Minor inconvenience, but a CSM at athenahealth just pointed out when they change the time from the current time logging an activity, they have to scroll from midnight to find the correct time. CSMs never have client meetings outside of business hours. To reduce scrolling, it would be ideal if the drop-down started at 8:00 am or Noon instead of the overnight hours.
Email Assist Attachment LimitationImplemented
Hello Gainsight Community, I’m struggling a bit with the size limitation when using email assist. We’ve developed a CTA for New Client Setups and part of the playbook is sending the fully executed contract to our services team to arrange the customer setup and kickoff call. For this task I created an email template that auto populates 80% of the information the CSM sends to services (big win) however, the size limitation in email assist is making thing difficult. More than ½ our contracts are larger than 2M making the email template unusable. There are other instances where we may need to scrap the email assist due to this size limitation. Before doing so I wanted to check with the community on any workarounds or ideas...thanks!
Edit NPS Survey RecordNo Status
One of my CSMs failed to update a contact of theirs. The email field was updated in Salesforce, but the associated company was not.The result is I now have a NPS survey response attributed to the wrong account. It would be great to have the ability to swap the associated company on survey records.
Scorecard Widget Report DependenciesNo Status
Scorecard widgets moving to be in their own section has lots of downstream effects and missed considerations. One of these is the fact that we can no longer see where these reports are being used, both in the list view as well as view Analyzer. This is a huge miss. Please help.
The success plan list view is great, and the ability to have custom views is nice BUT why are there no advanced filters like on the cockpit custom views? Our enterprise CSMs need the ability to filter their book of business by the ECSM field we have on the company object as they are not owners on 100% of the success plans tied to the accounts they oversee. While that is one specific ask, I can see additional advanced filtering being a huge benefit for our teams.
Unable to remove Add to Destination in ConnectorsUnder Consideration
Not sure if this is a bug or how it is supposed to function, but I am unable to remove the Add to Destination task in my connector job. I needed to add an additional merge task but now I am unable to add a destination based on my new merge. Is this how it is supposed to function and I have to create a brand new job from scratch?I even attempted to remove the daily schedule runs for it to see if that would impact it, but it did not.
CTA Field must be editable to be used in Rules, but then the value can be changed in the CTANo Status
Posting for a customer. The use case is that they are wanting to use a CTA field in a rule additional field to assign a default a value but the only way to accomplish this is to make the field editable. The issue is that if the field is editable then the CSM or end user is able to change the default value. A workaround is: You are able to change the field back to un-editable to resolve the issue if the rule is only fired once, but for a scheduled rule this does not work. Is it possible to allow the fields to be added in the rule and set a default value, but not be editable where the end user can change the value?
When our customers kick off their implementations, we send them an email with the kickoff deck and a zip file of project workbooks attached. We would like to semi-automate this with email assist (by surfacing a template in a CTA task so that the end user only has to check the email, attach the files relevant to the customer, and send), however we are limited by the fact that we cannot attach zip files to emails in email assist because the .zip filetype is not supported.
The new Data Management UI for dependencies is an improvement, but another admin quality of life addition would be to include, context dependent for each type of asset, if it is active or not. For example:For rules, you could simply indicate if the rule is active/inactive. For reports, it would be useful to know if that report is used in a dashboard, and which dashboard(s) it is on. This would enable admins to more easily at a glance find how to prioritize what they’re looking at and assess true dependency impacts. I’m sure this won’t be particularly easy given that each asset would have it’s own context around what ‘active/in use’ would mean, but it would be incredibly helpful.
There are many situations where Help Text would be incredibly valuable for our users. Especially as we develop out new features and try to gain better adoption of Gainsight from our users. This request is that a Help Text feature be enabled for all fields within CTAs, SPs, Timeline Activities -- any areas where we are building custom objects to serve our users’ needs, so that we can add additional information for the user around the purpose of a field within an object.
Currently the Log Email to Timeline feature of the Gainsight Assist Plugin only logs the sender as an attendee to the activity. Is there any plan to expand that to include all recipients? This is a pain point because when the email is sent from an internal employee there is no way to log the activity to the correct Company timeline line because GS doesn’t recognize the other recipients.
When adding additional columns/fields to the Cockpit view, it will show the name of the field as is. Sometimes this can be confusing for fields with the same name. An example would be the desire to show the name of the Account Executive and the Renewal Manager. In the system, these are shown as Name for both. Unless the user knows the data well, they will not be able to differentiate which name is the AE and which is the RM. It would be helpful if admins were able to change the display name of fields added to the Cockpit similarly to how they can change this name in reporting to be more user friendly to end users.
Hi Team,Client is looking for the ability to compare the data in UI for same month of different years Eg: We have a users login data for months of 2021 and 2022 , then user wanted the ability in report builder (Bar chart) to have the bars for same months to be available side by side for comparison.
HTML Tags in Scorecard DescriptionNo Status
Hi Guys, Im working with a customer at the minute who would like to have the ability to have links in the scorecard description to take end users to a more detailed view of what the scorecard criteria are. In order to do this, we would need the scorecard description to be a rich text area In my opinion, this is a really clever use case as it gets around some of the challenges of trying to write detailed descriptions of scorecards in a very small text area
