Hi Amanda,

I believe our product team is working on org chart functionality for the 360 Person section, but I'm not sure on the exact timing. You could then share the 360 layout with users.

But maybe you can tell us more about your use case for org charts in the Success Plan?

Thanks,

Lila

Thanks Lila, sure.  So today during our customer business review we provide our customers with a vmware organizational chart. It would be great if the CSM could export this information into their ppt or add it to their success plan.

Thanks for the additional info, Amanda! You're probably aware of this, but users can edit the PPT presentations after exporting from Gainsight and add slides. Are you using the Success Snapshot option?
Badge
Thanks Lila, we are not using success snapshots. I am looking at leveraging this capability, but was having some set up issues with the ppt.  If we can get an organizational chart somewhere in Gainsight that we can export that would solve the need.

Hi Amanda, is the org chart that you're looking to share a view of your customer's organization showing their employees or a view of your organization showing your employees?
Badge
ideally both, but will be happy with  just our internal org charts

Is your internal org chart basically a static document? I'm guessing that your staffing and leadership doesn't change too often, right? What tool(s) are you using today to generate this chart and then how are you inserting it into the PPT deck?

Are you looking to have Gainsight just store the static image on a section of the C360?

Hi Dan,

Yes the ability to store the charts to pull out and present in ppt would be great.  We currently keep this in ppt and then present to customers in our business reviews.

So Gainsight does have the ability to embed a page, which might be useful in this case. If you use an online storage platform like Box.com, that would be perfect, as we've documented how to embed a Box.com page: https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Customers_and_Relationships/Examples_and_Tutoria...

Here are some more generic details on how to create an embedded page section - you can embed any visual force page and most simple URLs: https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Customers_and_Relationships/Admin_Configuration/...

Here's a demo of doing exactly this in a demo org and using a sample graphic:

Hi Dan,

I tried implementing an embedded page (Tableau ) and this did not work.  Followed the directions you provided but all I receive is a blank page.  Any insights on this would be appreciated.

Would it need to be a Tableau page or could it just be a static document?
Badge
It would need to be something that we could edit once selected so not static.  The issue with Tableau is separate which we can discuss later, don't want to confuse this issue with Tableau

If you are embedding a Tableau page, you have to follow the instructions found here on Tableau's site to create a special page for embedding: https://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/shareworkbooks.html

Here are the steps:

Generate share link in Tableau:

Paste that link in the Configure Section > URL area:

Tableau appears in C360:

It's been a while since the original post but we now do have a feature that will allow you to do this within gainsight : People Maps!

Some of it's features are:

1. Easily map out the organizational structure within your customer accounts in order to better navigate to the right people and understand who all of the players are in their success.

2. You would also definitely want to ensure that not only are you reaching out to the right people but also that people are satisfied across all levels of the organization. View important information about each person such as the last NPS score they gave you and when your last engagement with them was. With these insights your team can more easily understand if you’re engaging at the right levels, if there are certain parts of the business that are more satisfied than others and so on.

3. You don't have to build the map here. You could bring in hierarchies from Salesforce or elsewhere and consume People Maps within Gainsight.

4. Download the org chart as a.jpg to add to your presentations!

The ability to add it directly to a success plan is not available yet but we do have the ability to download/export it and add it to your presentations.
